Hello Club E members, Club E is on the move! Thank-you all for attending this last months meeting. There were over 130 attendees who enjoyed the fine food provided by Julian Wright and La Bocca Urban Pizzaria + Wine Bar (699 South Mill Avenue, #115, Tempe, AZ 85281 Tel-(480)[masked] ), along with the opportunity to hear our esteemed speakers, Ken and Sebastian Losch. We would also like to thank Air Marketing for the use of their beautiful facility and the Phoenix Business Journal for covering the event. It truly was a pleasure to see all of you networking with us once again. This next month's meeting- When: October 7th, 2009 at 5:30 PM. Where: Air Marketing 3419 E University Dr Phoenix, AZ 85034. Who: All of you, of course! Our founder and serial entrepreneur, Peter J. Burns III, will be speaking to you about the future of Club E. We have some news that we are very excited for you to hear more about! For those of you who are not familiar with Peter, he established the first U.S. motorized bicycle (moped) rental and proceeded to expand initial operation into an international chain of 100 units, creating the largest recreational rental operation in the world. Since 1977, he has founded, operated, expanded or purchased well over 100 individual businesses in literally every field. Burns was named Arizona FBLA Businessperson of The Year 2007, “Power Players of Phoenix” - Phoenix Business Journal Honoree 2006,“Top 100 U.S. Entrepreneurs Under 30” by the Association of Collegiate Entrepreneurs[masked] and was the Youngest Participant in History, (29), of Harvard Business School’s Owners and Presidents Management Program 1986-1987. He also established the Nation's first accredited Colege of Entrepreneurship at Grand Canyon University and serves as Dean at Andrew Jackson University's College of Entrepreneurship. Peter is also one of the founding members and serves as the president of the Valley Advisory Group, a non-profit consisting of Valley C-level executives that help counsel small to mid-size presenting businesses at their monthly sessions. Once again, there will be food and fellowship for everyone to enjoy. We look forward to networking with all of you! Success to you all, The Club E Team

I actually did not know what to expect since this was my first meeting. It was interesting to see the mix of different people with different professions. I met several new contacts and look forward to trying to make more events.

Too much hype surrounding the real content of the evening. And too much misinformation, i.e. there were 60 people there, not 200 as Peter kept repeating. All of which detracted from the groups credibility. Also, the main presentation of the night, on Tradesource, was an interesting concept/opportunity, but a poorly done presentation. Filling PowerPoint slides with text, then reading them to the audience during the presentation, is the classic sign of an amateur. And she kept repeating her value proposition over, and over, and over …

I told my wife of the "barter" idea. She said she experienced the same thing in IA and MO back in the early 80s for about 6 months, so she has some direct experience with it. There was issues with their success which led to their downfall. I would like to let you know of this so we don't repeat past failures. It seems that if someone gave more than they would receive, then the system was faulty. Such as a guy selling shoes, or providing shoe repairs, but had very simple needs. For example, he couldn't/didn't pay commision on sales for 'barter". Thought you should know. If you want, she could meet with you to discuss it further? Please advise. Thank you....Aidan

I am so proud to see Club E growing in leaps and bounds solely due to the amazing group of entrepreneurs that grace our membership at every meeting. Here's a great story that the local ABC Television affiliate ran on Club E on the news from this meeting...

Another amazing group of entrepreneurs gathered, mixed, mingled and learned about the exciting new Club E Exchange offering. If you haven't been to a Club E meeting yet, make this the last one you miss.

This was without a doubt the most energetic meeting that I've attended in many years. I could go meetings on a regular basis if they were as interesting and informative as the meeting I just attend. It was powerful and positive. I must thank all the people involved in putting this Meetup together and the sharing of information that took place, it was PRICELESS.
