Perimeter trail is not paved and may be a little sloppy because of the recent rain. The Sweetgum parking lot may not be open in which case you will have to park at the parking area further in to the right after entering the park. See the map link above. You are not allowed to park along the road shoulders only in designated parking areas.

You could also do a loop along the roads by starting at the main parking area and running back towards the entrance doing the loop and heading back past the parking area and up the hill to the campground entrance and back to the parking area. It's rolling terrain with a decent hill climb up to the campground.

Thanks, Edward. The trail was not muddy at all, except for one section. The Sweetgum lot was open. It was a good run, although I defy anyone to run the perimeter loop without getting lost at least once.

I definitely made it more of a 6+ mile run ;)

Hey everyone, here is the brochure for Greenbelt Park. We will run the perimeter trail, which is 5.3 miles. Park at the parking lot near the entrance and we will all meet there.

My knees have been acting up, and I've decided to take a two week break from running to see if that'll help. Look forward to meeting you all (someday).

Having just started running, not sure if I'm up to running 5 miles straight, but willing to try
