Co-production is central to the community-university research partnerships that I work within at the Toronto Cycling Think and Do Tank. It's also the goal of the participatory urban planning work we do at TCAT with our Active Neighboirhoods Canada work.
I believe that the process of co-production needs to be better understood and implemented in the public sector, and I hope to gain insight on this through participation in this group. I hope to bring my own experience with collaborative work across sectors and with various stakeholders to the table to enrich our collective understanding of co-production.
Mikey is a Toronto-based tundra transplant. At U of T and at TCAT (T.O. Centre For Active Transportation), his research supports a dialogue between community stakeholders, city planning and health policy, and key groups advocating for safer streets.
