This is a 2 mile flat circuit through Shadelands Business Park which has very little car traffic after standard business hours.
Riders can do as many laps as they want. I plan to start out riding laps for about 30 minutes and depending on how boring it gets may increase from there.
This ride is appropriate for any type of bike and any fitness level as long as you are comfortable riding in the evening. There’s still a lot of daylight at 7 this time of year but it is a good idea to bring lights.
The first lap will be a group lap (if there is a group) then everyone is free to ride at their own pace.
While technically this is not a no-drop ride, it’s a 2 mile circle so if you need help, someone will come along soon. This is a good course to practice sprints/intervals, or also to work on just keeping a good steady endurance pace, or if you just want an easy, leasurely, ride, that works too.
The route is as follows:
Start at corner of Shadelands Dr and Oak Grove Rd
Head East on Shadelands Dr
Right Lennon Ln
Right N Wiget Ln
Left Mitchell Dr
Right Oak Grove Rd
Right Shadelands Dr (repeat the loop)
