What was the promo code for the lean startup that was given out that night? I had to replace my phone yesterday and I lost all the notes I took!

Ricardo, Thanks for doing this. The older presentations do not seem to open for me. I have tried a few times. Can you please check on your side? Thank you,

I always like coming here, this was my 5th time. However, pitches keep going over time. I know 5 minutes can turn into 7 minutes, but half an hour into the pitches we were still on number 2. It would be great if we could have a "1 minute warning" for all presenters when they go over their time, and limit questions to two or so. That leaves more time to talk to the presenters afterwards, so it's a win-win. And more fair to those presenting towards the end of the night.

If you are an experienced entrepreneur that understands the business side and are looking for a technical Guru, we should talk. I've created many successful products over the years for others and for my own companies. Experience has shown I need to stick with the technical aspects as I don't seem to run a business well enough myself. It seems that having a great technology product is only a small part of success. The right business team along with proper sales and marketing are key along with timing, luck, and a large enough market. It has taken many years and a lot of my own money to learn this.

Qwot.in makes shopping for insurance easy by providing access to the independent agent distribution channel via a mobile platform. Users save money because insurers compete for their business. They also enjoy a number of benefits associated with mobile platform such as a significantly faster application, personalized usage based insurance advice and superior claims handling. The independent agent channel is well established with approx 30% of all homeowners and personal auto premiums flowing through it. We'll get paid as independent agents always have receiving approximately 10% of all insurance premiums that flow through us.

Hi Everyone - I'm looking to work with someone who is business/management savvy and passionate about the arts (music, film, photo, fashion, dance, paint, architecture, design). I'm currently in the process of developing a platform that links emerging artists and mentors. Think 'hitRECord' meets 'Evisors'.

I am a computer scientist and embedded engineer. My company Nurve Networks designs, develops, and manufactures hardware. So, I am into atoms :) I used to be into bits, but its too easy for competitors to compete. Building physical products is a lot more fun, more challenging and a LOT more expensive of course :) That said, I am definitely interested in checking out this meetup, but I wonder if there are attendees that need embedded development and products designed and manufactured or the attendees are more web/IT/Marketing based entrepreneurs? Anyway, I am working on a new wearable computer, that's my current project, but I am always open minded to projects on the side as a development only role or technical adviser.

One thing that is interesting to me now is using kickstarter to fund my manufacturing. Normally, I stick to products that I can personally pay for the first build of 100 to 1000. But, with KS, it opens the gates to do a build in the $1-10M range which is intriguing.

ProtoExchange is a network of 3D printers. We connect professional-grade 3D printers/engineering services with hardware startups, small businesses, and consumers.

We'll be housed in the Capital Factory (accelerator) for the next 3 months and are looking for two developers. Our production stack consists of Pyramid and Angular.JS.

We are looking for smart developers who can tackle any task on their own. We highly value self-learners and individuals who can think outside-the-box and who aren't afraid to offer their opinion!

Does the venture have to be software or Web 2.0 based? Or are you allowed to present a technology-rich hardware product?

Excellent, I'll try to make an appearance. My team and I are competing in a local (McAllen, TX) Innovation Grant Competition. If we win we'll be in high spirits and sure to attend. We're designing a highly original drone concept vehicle.

This is a very interesting topic. In some countries, like Germany, a substantial portion of the tech universe is focused on the clone-and-localize model. There is lots of money left on the road by American companies.
