About a month ago many of you told me that one of your biggest challenges is raising funds for your startup. So I've been working to bring together some resources to help - the following is the first in a series to help you with fund raising.
We usually think of friends-n-family, credit cards, VCs, but have you heard of an accelerator?
On March 21st CoFoundersLab and The Fort will be hosting an event to educate you on a very unique accelerator called MassChallenge. What's so unique about them? When they award you money, they do not take any equity in your company.
Since this event will be hosted at The Fort, you'll also get a chance to see and ask questions about DC's first accelerator led by Fortify VC.
Please read below to learn more and register for this event. Be sure to receive future announcements by following us on Twitter @cofounderslab or facebook.com/cofounderslab
Starting at 5:00pm on March 21st representatives from MassChallenge will be visiting from Boston to tell us why people should apply, success rates, etc. and a lot of FAQs, followed by networking.

MassChallenge is the largest-ever startup accelerator and competition, and the first to support high-impact, early-stage entrepreneurs with no strings attached. Benefits for startups include:
President Obama honored MassChallenge in January of 2011 as one of the nation's best organizations for supporting high-growth entrepreneurs, and MassChallenge was the youngest inaugural member of the Startup America Partnership. The 111 startups supported in the 2010 accelerator raised over ~$100M in outside funding and created ~500 new jobs in under 12 months.
