For those of you looking to get into physical products, a quick search for local prototyping services came up with these guys (and many others)

    http://www.ems-usa.com

Call them and find out what they would charge to build a prototype and you will then have your first financial goal.

good luck, looking forward to one day buying a hybrid washing machine..

I'm up for some pizza. How will I know who you are? I don't think you'll look too much like your profile pic ;)

    Joel and all,

Selling and successful selling are as different as coloring in a coloring book and artful web design.

Successfully selling technology is "ART". Too often sales presentations are tailored to the person selling and not the person buying.

Successful selling is the art of getting other people to do what you want them to do because they want to do it. And when a sales presentation is done right, it becomes the buyer's idea not the salesperson's. Does this that follows make sense?

When done right clients say to their friends "look what a great deal I got!" When done poorly clients say "look at the POS that *@#*%^ salesperson sold me."

Have you ever been in in those situations?

I earn my living translating technology into lay English and back. They are two separate languages.

If there is interest in a 'Really BASIC 'how to successfully sell' then let me know.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
