A community of like-minded people who are into making just about anything.
Jay Summet sent an email out to a listserv I'm on advertising the group.
Hi - I'm David, and I've been involved with organizing Atlanta's Maker Faire since its inception in 2011. I make backwards technology, things with wood, and just recently got a 3D Printer.
Hi David, thanks for the welcome and the invite to participate in the Maker Faire this year. I was planning to just scope it all out this year as I have never been to one before and don't know exactly what it is, but next year I will for sure bring some stuff to show people.
Thanks David! Unfortunately most of my stuff isn't unpacked or located, but I'll be sure to check the event out anyway!
David, we don't have a specific website for this event - our organization's site is chestateelibrary.org. My e-mail is [masked]. Thanks so much!!
David, we would love to have robots and other cool things that 'kids' of all ages are interested in. So far we have model airplanes, a geologist, a beekeeper, a couple of computer geeks, wire sculture, engines, bucket light, microscope and a couple of kids activities (origami, etc.) The sky's the limit and any suggestions appreciated!
Our library is located in Dawsonville and we are planning a Maker Day on Saturday June 1st from 11:00 - 3:00. We're VERY excited about it and are hoping to have an interesting, fun group of participants. If you have any suggestions or know folks who may be interested in either attending or participating I would appreciate hearing about them!
Thanks for the compliment! I have actually just sold my electric car to a fellow in Athens, but I still have one of my robots and I have a HandHeld Thermal Unit I designed. Go to T5Thermal.com. Pretty cool stuff. I have a lot going on right now, so doing an organized display would be a challenge for me. I do hope to attend, however.
Hi David! I'm so sorry that I haven't greeted you properly yet I've had a death in my family that I've been caught up with for the last coupe of weeks-Im so sorry you've been neglected. Anyway, here's a gigantic welcome to our group, please don't be shy-jump right in and have a blast. If you have any questions at all feel free to contact me. Stephanie
Welcome, and I am glad you chose to be a part of the Atlanta ECLECTIC Adventures. I hope you will find this group eclectic, stimulating, and fun. Feel free to join in any and all events that grab your fancy and also suggest or organize eclectic adventures to delight our souls. I look forward to meeting with you in the near future. Cheers.
