If you are looking for a serious book club in which they discuss the deep meaning of the books please note this is not the one for you. We are a fun, sometimes serious, most times not so serious book club. We all enjoy reading (well of course we do) and have read some very good books and unfortunately a couple not so good books. Our discussions can last from five minutes to an hour and it really depends upon the book. We read primarily contemporary fiction, but we're open to anything. Some of our recent reads include: 1Q84 by Haruki Murakami, The Art of Fielding by Chad Harbach, A Buddha in the Attic by Julie Otsuka, and Freedom by Jonathan Franzen. We are a coed group mostly in our twenties and thirties. We usually meet on a weeknight or Sunday afternoon at a bar or coffee shop, often in the Village, or occasionally at one of our apartments.
