CocoaHeads Oslo February meetup:

Aral Balkan: Building a Realtime Continuous Client (or Getting Nodey with Cocoa)

Node.js is so hot on the web these days, let's use it to heat up our Cocoa a bit. In this hands-on session, Aral Balkan will take you through creating a realtime continuous client that runs across iPhone, iPad, Mac, and web using Node.js, Redis, Objective-C, and Cocoa. Bring your laptops and follow along.

@aral is a designer, developer, author, teacher, entrepreneur, and performer; a Renaissance Geek with a passion for designing user experiences and a desire to make the world a better place through technology and oratory. These days he's organizing the Update conference as part of the Brighton Digital Festival and makes iPhone apps like his critically-acclaimed Feathers.

Pizza and beer for meetup is sponsored by Squarehead Technology. Check out this job opening at Squarehead.

Show and Tell

We want to show the diversity of the Cocoa community in Oslo by trying an App Show and tell concept. Members of the community get 10 minutes to present their App/Company. Please give feedback on this idea or suggestions for apps/companies. Send an email to André;, Johannes or Karl Erik

Aral er skuffet på twitter pga det lave (les fraværende) innslag av påmeldte jenter. Jeg er enig i at det er trist med så liten andel, så damer, dere er hermed oppfordret til å stille :-)

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
