Civic Hacking Night at Socrata - April 2

Do your part to increase civic engagement through technology!

Attend to work on projects:
The weekly civic hacking night is a chance for you to spend time working on the civic application you've been meaning to work on. Need a project to work on or have an idea that you'd like help with? Attend to meet like-minded folks looking to team up on projects.

Help with SeattleWiki.net, work on your own Seattle-oriented project and learn about the state of Seattle's civic technology. Check out our list of local projects to get a sense of what attendees are already working on.

Who should attend:
Technologists, designers, urban planners, journalists, and anyone interested in civic engagemen & technology. Not a coder? Attend to learn programming or get involved other ways!

What you'll need:
Please bring a laptop (or be prepared to team up with someone that has a laptop, or work on projects that don't require a computer).

How to find us:
Enter the front doors on King St., take a right down the hallway and the Socrata office is the first door on the right.

If you arrive and the door is locked:
Email me at [masked] or call[masked] to get let in!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
