Introduction

Last fall I opened a retail store in Raleigh called Calm and Sense and being new to the area, I am looking for ways to network for both myself and the store.

What makes you passionate about your product or service?

As a "survivor of 30 years of corporate life" I know a lot about the topic of stress! I love helping others find ways of taking better care of themselves and being happier, healthier and more in touch with what makes them relaxed.

What benefits do you see in networking?

Meeting other successful women business owners is energizing and allows the exchange of ideas, contacts and encouragement.

What products or services do you offer?

Products are grouped by the five senses of Taste (teas, cocoas, herbs), Touch (robes, heatable wraps, eye pillows), Smell (aromatherapy, bath products, candles), Sound (CDs, fountains) and Sight (books, salt lamps, inspirational material)

Calm and Sense features stress relief and relaxation products and we help people find solutions to their stressful lives.

Tell us a bit about yourself.

I opened my store last October. After 30+ years in corporate life, doing marketing, communications, publicity, etc I was ready to work for myself.
