Today we present Marsha Shamblee of Mary Kay Cosmetics. Marsha will be speaking about Breast Cancer Awareness and the Mary Kay Foundation.

Marsha is originally from Moundsville, West Virginia and graduated from Marshall University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Merchandising. Prior to moving to North Carolina in May of 1996 Marsha worked for Lowe’s Home Improvement Inc. as a Home Décor District Trainer and Store Manager. While in North Carolina, Marsha has worked as a Manager and Interior Designer for businesses in Raleigh and Cary for 12 years. Marsha was introduced to the Mary Kay opportunity at a skin care class in November of 2005 and started her Mary Kay business in May of 2006. Deciding to take a leap of faith in May of 2008, Marsha turned in her resignation to her employer and decided it was time to shake things up and follow her goal of working her Mary Kay business full time. Now Marsha looks back and realizes that the best decision she ever made was to put the needs of her family first, and not the needs of her employer. Marsha loves the fact that she can work her business around her family and the opportunity to pass on the legacy of Mary Kay Ash is priceless. The Mary Kay opportunity gives Marsha the ability to enrich other women’s lives and to give back to the community through her Mary Kay business.

Marsha lives in Apex with her husband Curt and son Dylan and enjoys gardening, reading, and giving back to those in need.

    •  Marsha gave a informative talk. Goodness, what timely and important information. And what details. As always, a great meeting.
    •  Marsha, thank you so much for your heartfelt and powerful talk on breast care/and the Mary Kay Foundation. I am so inspired by all of the work Mary Kay is doing to prevent/help with breast cancer and domestic abuse and I love that you were able to share your passion with us today!
    •  I thoroughly enjoyed Marsha's presentation today about breast cancer awareness. She passed along a great deal of helpful information, and inspired us with her passion for helping women!
    •  Marsha did an awesome job of educating us on breast cancer - the risks, detections and different treatments. Mary Kay Foundation is a real blessing to both cancer research group's and shelters for abused women. Marsha is a great example of someone who cares and gives back to her community.
    •  Marsha spoke with much passion and gave us much information about factors that influence higher risk for breast cancer, treatment options, and sources for assistance in meeting medical bills. I had no idea that Mary Kay was such a strong link for women who need assistance. Marsha is to be admired for her interest, passion, energy and work in helping women struck with this disease, and also victims of domestic violence.
