FAQ

Hi Everyone! Here are some Frequently Asked Questions about our group.

Why did you start this group? Finding a group of women and getting them together in a central location is just not as easy as it sounds! This group was started because our founder could not find any group that met in a good location at a good time.

Do most of the members knit or crochet? Most of the members knit although we do have many devoted crocheters.

Did any of the members know each other before they joined? Almost everyone met through the group, but feel free to bring a knitter/crocheter friend!

What's the group like? We are a very diverse group of women. We are from many different areas of the country, and we even have some international members! We are all different ages and from many different backgrounds. We have members who are serving in the military, military spouses, and Veterans. We have some moms and grandmas and women with pets. We try to make everyone feel welcome.

Can anyone schedule a Meetup? Yes and No, members must contact one of the organizers in order to schedule a MeetUp... We will be happy to do so for you. If you wish to start a regular MeetUp, please contact Laura.

Do I have to pay Membership Dues? Dues are paid to Laura in 6 or 12 month increments. There will be more information about dues coming up on another page. Please be on the look out!

What happens if I can't attend a Meetup that I RSVPed to? This is usually not a problem unless there are only a few people scheduled to attend. If you know only a few people are planning on coming to a certain meeting, and you haven't changed your RSVP to show you aren't coming, please call or email the organizer of the Meetup to let them know you won't be able to make it. That way they won't be stranded if no one shows up.

I came to one Meetup, but I haven't been able to come to another. Will anyone harass me if I don't come? No, but we hope you'll come again when you get a chance! The more, the merrier!

Are any of the members on Ravelry? Yes, some of us are. There is a discussion page started for Ravelry so we can share your passion for crafting even online!

What's Ravelry? Ravelry.com is a website for knitters and crocheters.

Got a question? Send me an email!
