....a word from our Coffee Shake Founders/Organizers
In the 12 years of being a business owner, I have learned that "personal referral" is one of the best ways to grow a business.
It's all about getting out there, shaking hands and meeting new people, face to face.
It's about showing them first hand what a valuable asset you could be to them.
I believe that "relationships" are the "true wealth"of society. Not anyone of us is capable of knowing everything BUT if you are connected to several people who know different things, you can have an abundance of valuable resources at your fingertips. What you know could be the missing puzzle piece to someones network of relationships, information and ideas. You will never know how much you are needed until you make yourself available to the unlimited possibilities that are out there.
YOU are a Valuable Asset to others!
Have you heard the phrase, "It's not what you know, it's WHO you know" ??
Well, I believe it's a combination of BOTH!!
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me through this site. I'm very much looking forward to meeting all of you !

"The new source of power is not money in the hands of a few, but information in the hands of many." -John Naisbitt
I stand in strong support of the points that my sister shares. Referrals and business go together like peanut butter and jelly.
My pointers come in the form of a true childhood story I would like to share with you.
I have been an aspiring entrepreneur for as long as I can remember. I recall almost 3 decades ago when Chris and I had our very first lemonade stand. I think it was the very first time I experienced the exhilaration of making my own $$ by being creative and having fun doing it. Of course we both made enough that weekend to go buy something on our wish list. Back then, for me, it was a new Barbie Corvette. This last September, it was the real deal, a brand new C-300 Benz. It has been a long road traveled, but I am excited everyday to continue to explore the journey and share what I can with others.
But the Lemonade Stand story gets better..... Something else Chris and I experienced that weekend as we were counting all our quarters, nickels, dimes and pennies from all the lemonade we sold....we made new friends. And a lot of 'em.
In the following weeks we were showing every neighborhood kid how to have their own lemonade stand but in the process we found that they brought new ideas too. New drink flavors, personalized cups, coupons to come again! It was great! As kids, we didn't realize it, but we were all collaborating with one another and leveraging off each other's ideas. With all the parents' support and traffic going by we knew there was enough business to go around for everyone. The feeling of makingadifference and sharing our knowledge felt even better then just going to Toys R Us and buying the latest new toy. And we never had a thought to compete against the other neighborhood kids. Working together....it just felt right! It was a Win-Win-Win for Everyone!
My journey since then has shown me much more...
Taking action , being consistent , working smart and having goals were hard lessons learned, but the diligence paid off. And while I knew that these things were imperative to achieving success, I also learned that those things were still not enough.
I came to experience that Believing in Yourself is the main ingredient to co-creating the life you dream of.
One way of increasing your belief in yourself is to surround yourself with others that will be supportive and believe in you too!,.......while at the same time you take the opportunity to do the same for them.
I BELIEVE IN YOU!! I look forward to getting to know every one of you, learning new things, exploring collaborations, volunteering together and being of a resource and inspiration in any way that I can.
Thank you for joining and Welcome to Coffee Shake !
