Introduction
My wife and I are planning to live in Italy for a year--returning to live in the Belfast Cohousing & Ecovillage (Belfast, ME). The near zero energy design approach of our prototype was featured in the May/June issue of Maine Home+Design magazine.....
How did you hear about cohousing?
Visited a B&B in Portland Maine and a guest shared her story. We've been hooked ever since...
What is your connection to community, if any? Which neighborhoods have you visited/toured/lived in/co-created?
Toured Cambridge Cohousing, have been active members in the Belfast Cohousing & Ecovillage for almost two years and are planning to visit other communities in Europe.
What are you seeking in community: particular towns/neighborhoods, building types, community sizes, focusses?
An attention to overall sustainability, using permaculture, smart technologies and architectural design.
