“ Very disappointed with it, unfortunately. We had no way of knowing, for the most part, what to expect, so it wouldn't be fair to say we were mislead, or anything of that nature. However, what we did experience was not something we are particularly interested in attending. I suppose the idea we had in mind was that it would be a cross between a free jam, with lots of personal interaction, and a technical question / answer session. What we saw was, basically, an open mic night. To be fair, we left after an hour so there may've been something technical toward the end. Having said that, I'm sure many who attended were pleased with what the experienced and were satisfied and happy they attended. Given the seeming lack of guitar-based groups in this area, the meet-up meets a need and on that basis, it's welcome. On a personal basis, I'm not sure I'll be back. I may give it another try... time will tell. Either way, I will say I do appreciate Sam Ash hosting it. ”
