What kind of Buddhist Meditation experience do you have?

I first learned a meditation technique at the ARE (Association for Research and Enlightenment) in Virginia Beach, VA in the 1980's. While the notes and handouts from that class are long gone, the lessons linger and the practice has become engrained in my daily living. While not Buddhist in particular, aspects of this meditative technique reflect relevant Buddhist tenets, such as refraining from praying for certain outcomes. I've continued to nurture a keen interest in Buddhism through books, discussion groups, and informal meditation practices over the years. Looking forward to interactive learning through our Monday evening meetings.

Hi, I'm Eva. Devoted to lifelong learning and welcoming differing perspectives. How comforting to think that we can accept without restrictions. We can learn from one another; such a good thing.

Excellent. Great insights and guided meditations throughout the evening. Loved the closing song.
