Full Moon Soiree ~ Full Buck Moon

July is the month of the Full Buck Moon.

Bucks begin to grow new antlers at this time. This full Moon was also known as the Thunder Moon, because thunderstorms are so frequent during this month.

When I hear the two names of the moon for July "Buck" and "Thunder", I can help but think of 2 Buck Chuck Wines or Thunderbird. Mmmmmmm delicious! Makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up and my head shake violently.

Though most cost effective wines don't necessarily have to be bad tasting wines.

For this soiree, you will need to go to your local wine shop and ask the clerk......."What do you think is the best wine for the BUCK that you have?" or if you already have a favorite bring it along!

You will be asked to describe your wine, so no sneaking in CRAP. Be proud of your 2 Buck Chuck and pair with it a "Homemade Morsel" No store bought treats this time around.

Please bring enough to feed 6 to 8 people.

Please do not RSVP just to hold a spot.  Please do not put a plus 1 just to hope you get a date.  Please be respectful to other members and truly only RSVP if you know you will be attending.  Those who cancel or back out within 72 hours will have their profiles marked as such.  If you didn't know I keep track of all no shows and cancels and remove people from our group for the lack of respect they have shown by doing such.  Please don't make me put you on that list or potentially put another strike next to your name.

Thanks for hosting, Steve. Both Wendi and you have to put on another command performance with flutes!!

    Hi All,
I encourage you to come despite the change in venue. My house is located between 36 and Foothill Parkway and between Table Mesa and Baseline. From either 36 or Foothills, Table Mesa is the closest exit. It's easy to get to by bike, too.

Don't worry if you didn't have time to do any home cookin'. (Good quality, e.g. Whole Foods) store bought is fine by me. My grill will be available, too.

    Call if you're lost.

Thanks Steve, hadn't noticed that location change up there. Location actually works better for me, as I am taking the bus, and it's on my way home!

Thanks so much, Steve. My meeting may unexpectedly run late and I hadn't prepared due to Marty's plans. Have a great time.

Hey Gang.....sorry for the delay as I am swamped at work. I will not be able to host/attend the event tonight at my house. So I will graciously accept Steve's offer to have it be held at his place. I also thank Eric for offering as well. Steve is now the event host and will be able to post directions/address of his place. Thanks again and I am sorry for any inconvenience.
    Have a wonderful time!

My house in south Boulder is an option. It's a little unkempt at the moment, but better that than cancel the event!

My place is neat but in Broomfield, right at the 1st Bank Center or Broomfield Park and Ride. It's right on the BV bus line, so you could down a whole bottle of wine and catch the bus back to downtown Boulder.

I apologize profusely, but I host airbnb guests and just had a group request arrival on Monday night, so unfortunately, I have to be home to let them in, etc.

Just ask your local liquor store clerk what he/she thinks is the best wine for the buck.
