Member Chris Calderon will take us on a guided tour of his research.

Chris will be making a presentation where the R outfit usually meets.  We had intended a joint presentation, but the R membership has gotten feisty and wanted something more R-focused (R is a language and open source software environment for statistical computing and visualization).

Owing to technological advances, Chris has been doing a lot of microscopy of live tissue.  The challenge is:  how to make sense of what it is that the microscope is actually showing us.

    Great, horizon-expanding talk. Even though I don't have the knowledge to grasp all of the details, Chris made it very accessible and fascinating.
