Looking froward to a local platform

Welcome, Karen. I, too, believe that the success of crowdfunding in Colorado ultimately lies in locavesting.

Hi and welcome Karen. Not to step on Mr. Burrasca's toes, but I just wanted to make sure that you (and everyone else) is aware that Colorado Crowdfunding is Not a crowdfunding platform. Rather it is a group dedicated to learning, exploring and promoting the possibilities of crowdfunding. At least thats how I view it. Our fantastic and generous host could explain it better. Hope to see you at the next meeting.

I run a cyclist boot camp that starts at 6pm, just on the other side of the interstate from here, and after the workout, we do hill repeats around the stadium. We've been doing this for 6 weeks now, and when we're done (about 745)...I'll be able to come.

That's fine Michael. I'm not sure our speaker will be still speaking at that point, but come any way. Perhaps you can ask him some questions you might have about initiating a campaign on Kickstarter (which is, at my request, the sole topic on which he will speak). Also, one of more inventive potential crowdfunders will be at the meeting demoing his invention, "Sound in 3D".

If you have not already, pre-order my children's book, The Little Bear of St. Elmo's Forest, by making a pledge on Kickstarter. You will receive a copy of the ebook for free.

This is going to be an awesome meeting. Mario Lurig is speaking. He hit a homerun with his Kickstarter project. And you can ask me questions about my project, which at the moment is struggling. I have some valuable insights to share.

I will soon launch a crowdfunding proposal of my own and will attend this Wednesday. I hope to achieve my goal and learn to laser focus my campaign.

I'd be glad to share all I know. The main thing is that you need a big audience to present too. You need to build that audience. Then you need to test that audience to see if they really will support you or if they are just being courteous.

I am pleased to announce that my kickstarter project is live. I want to thank everyone who gave great feedback. I listened intently to your advice. I implemented most your suggestions. I spent the last day before launch working with the editor. You'll be amazed at the results. For a no budget video, I think it is great. One main reason is the editor. He is super. My challenge moving forward is to raise $3,500 to cover the printing costs. A children's book as I am finding out, is a hard project to promote. It's not glamorous like pebble watch. I invite any and all to join me on this Kickstarter Journey. There are alot of great rewards for your pledges. Just by sharing the project with your friends and family is a huge help. Here is the link. Please let me know what you think.

For the July 24 meeting, I will be glad to share my trials and tribulations during the campaign.

If you don't like it, then, thank you for your time and attention. I won't bother you any more. But the story has been very well received. Enjoy.
