Kickstarter and Perks-Based Crowdfunding

"Kickstart" your Facebook Campaign

How do you rally your crowd before you launch your crowdfunding campaign? What do you post on Facebook during the campaign to encourage your crowd to share? This month, we are going to explore several campaigns that have successfully used Facebook to build traction.

Please bring your computer, tablet or some type of internet-enabled device (or be prepared to lean over someone's shoulder). This is going to be an interactive conversation about our observations of the Facebook campaigns.

If you would like feedback regarding your crowdfunding campaign, please e-mail Danielle at [masked]. We look forward to seeing you!

*We ask that everyone purchase a food or drink item to support our new host, Cap City Tavern.

I have a facebook page, www.facebook.com/InfantCarry, and have had a lot of visits. Do I have to add each as a friend so that they get updates or does everyone who has visited the site get updates automatically.
I want to post an update survey. We have new patterns for the cover and need to choose two for the crowdfunding campaign. How do I do that ... the survey?

Hi Nick, I'd highly recommend taking a Facebook marketing class or tutoring to gain a better understanding of using Facebook. This upcoming meetup will be exploring campaigns that have used Facebook successfully to gather the crowd. Only a small portion of fans that "likes" your page will get updates because Facebook has decreased their organic reach to encourage Page owners to pay for advertising. As for surveys, you can either download an app or paste a survey to the status updates. Hope this helps!

Here's the campaign we'll be discussing tomorrow night. It should be great!
