The State of Crowdfunding: Where We Are Right Now and What’s Ahead

Since the advent of online crowdfunding back in 1997 with the successful campaign to raise funds for the British rock group Marillion, each succeeding year has brought new ways in which  crowdfunding is being used to help people achieve their dreams and, in the case of fund raising, to disrupt some old, tired and no longer functioning traditional models once used for that purpose.

Come to this Wednesday’s meeting and learn all about what has transpired in the past year (some of which we’ve never discussed before) and what we reasonably expect will occur in the coming year.

We’ll go over some important developments in both the rewards-based and investment-based area and we’ll briefly touch upon a major initiative we’ve been working on over the past two years which we’ll layout in detail at our July meeting.

Come join us and catch-up.  Because crowdfunding growth over the past year has been nothing short of explosive.

Looking forward to seeing you all there on Wednesday evening.

Where does one go to begin to learn the basics of Crowdfunding?

Don, given your project, you'd be better served by attending Colorado Crowdfunding's Kickstarter and Perks-Based Crowdfunding meet ups, which are held on the first Monday of every month at the Cap City Tavern on Bannock across from the Art Museum in downtown Denver. There's also a lot of material on our website about cause-based crowdfunding.
