IAmAGamer Game Jam

The main jam site: http://iamagamer.ca/

Our satellite location details: http://www.glassbottomgames.com/projects/iamagamer2013/

The gist: Join us July 12-14th at the Westwood North Denver campus, where we will spend 48-hours making games featuring awesome female protaganists.
We have a theme, all we need is your creativity, energy, and tenacity! If you are an artist, a designer, a developer, or a writer and you want to make a game with us, please consider signing up. You can come with a team, or you can arrive without one (there will be lots of people to join up with).

We'll have onsite beverages sponsored by RUNA and, I believe, Red Bull. As far as food sponsorships, that's still unknown, though hopefully we can work out a few. There's also an excellent cafe right down broadway, as it happens, which is generally where I'll direct folks for "you could probably use a break and some food."

Looks like iamagamer fixed the download issues. I also have a web player version up'd, all though it compressed the hell out of the textures. https://makemyday.s3-u...

Great jam everyone! Here's a video of my finished game: Rocket Launch.

Help Yvonne launch her rocket into outer space.

Yvonne is based on a real life person, Yvonne Brill (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yvonne_Brill) who designed rocket engines. Her obit in the NY Times made news a few years ago.

This turned out pretty fun - we had a solid turn-out the first day, though unfortunately a bunch dropped out before the last day. Regardless, I saw 2 cool games - one about a bride with a giant machinegun that was fighting Medusa to save her boyfriend, and one about a little old lady that flew to mars (and apparently made awesome Borscht).

Cool, I like to see games without guns, not because I'm against them, but just because it's so overused. Unless guns were used in the making of the borscht.

    Is there anything for spectators?

I am a developer (jetpackhq.com), but I just don't have time right now. Or ever, probably. But it would be cool to meet everyone.

Coder looking to pair up. Hopefully with an artist, but anyone would be fine. Currently learning Unity/C#. Strongest languages: C++ and Java.

Programmer. I'd like to team up with an artist for the event.

Program in Haxe/Nme mainly targets flash. but is possible to target other platforms/file types.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
