I'm currently a homeschool dad, so most projects these days are games that a kid could make or teaching aids. Although, I have a few ideas that I kick around for fun like everyone else.
The creative aspects. Freedom to explore.
Ōllamaliztli. Oh wait. You did mean "indigenous", right?
I studied art, animation and film in college, and worked as a 3D game artist for a time. I've picked up a handful of programming languages on-the-job, and have probably produced more code than art, but I'm not a coder. I can solve problems with code when needed: a technical artist. Lately, I've been brushing up on digital painting.
I started in 3D as an artist for MIL sims and games (Shenmue, Behind Enemy Lines/SEGA). I later moved to tech roles in other industries (print publishing, preclinical research). Coming back around to making games after being away for awhile.
