I'm a budding game developer using Unity with a heavy coding and design background. I feel confident in my versatility, and can take on many aspects of game design...but certainly not all, and I know it'd be more of a hassle to do so.
At the moment, it'd have to be Fez. I'm floored that Phil Fish (drama aside) was able to market a hybrid exploration/adventure/platforming game with such ease. And dat soundtrack. Damn.
I am just now getting into game development (via Unity) after having devoted much of my life—even adult—to games. I love seeing what indie developers are doing, and think that art games like Passage and Limbo are far superior to AAA titles.
