I LOVE the mountains and will be moving hopefully in 2012 to Colorado. I have made the summit on a dozen or so 14ers. Would love to join your group to meet people in the area who have the same yearning to hang out in the mountains as I do ;-)
I have a 2006 Honda Shadow Aero 750 I'm selling. Gorgeous custom paint job with butterflies...... If interested, please let me know. I have Meniere's disease and it has become worse, to the point I can't ride my own anymore. :( She needs a good home.
Welcome Ronaelle, hope to see you two soon! We gotta try to get a few more rides in before we're shut down for the winter.
Glad you're coming to the Cookie exchange Ronaelle! See you soon.
Kool unique name-Kudos to your Mom. We named our girls sort of one of a kind names too. Didn't see you @ Jilly's, but so packed there. Maybe we did bump in to each other briefly. Anyhoo-just thought i would drop you a line, sounds like we have lots of similar interests-i love participating in alternative sporting activities too.
Say, can you tell me more about the TOGETHER group for couples?
Thanks for joining PPSC! Hope to meet you soon at one of our social functions. Glad you are signed up for Winter Park, it's going to be a great trip!
Your 14'ers climbs ahead sound great. Used to do a few of them every summer long ago; Kili is quite a different place nowdays with all the snow/ice melting away so fast.
There was so much snow on the trail from Outpost Camp to Trail Crest that we HAD to use crampons! Micro spikes just dont have the traction needed to hike that much snow. We basically had to make our own trail over this portion of the hike. The "Cables" and the "switchbacks" are currently under 3 1/2 to 4 feet of snow. Paul and I started from Outpost at approx. 9:30 am and didnt make it back to Camp until 3:00 am the next morning!!!
Welcome to my lil hike group! I just did Whitney 2 weeks ago and a had a GREAT time!! My hike partner and I were the only two to summit that day, the others turned back due to the snow accumulation on trail. I wish you the best on your adventure and look forwrd to seeing you on some of our hikes soon!!!
