PRESENTATION: Matt Corliss and Patrick Behan will share video on their research on the reefs of Turneffe Atoll, Belize.

Filmmakers Matt Corliss and Patrick Behan traveled to Turneffe Atoll in Belize with a team of divers and scientists to study a reef which has been particularly resilient to the affects of ocean acidification. In many cases, they found that the reef was healthy, but in others, the reef showed signs of damage from acidification, particulate plastic matter and invasive species. Shark Bait Dive Club January Meeting

Ocean First The Dive Club Meet-up

DIVING PIONEER'S JOURNEY COMES TO AN END
A-1 founder, Ernie Busnardo, was a true pioneer in the diving industry. Ernie’s burning desire to share the adventure of diving with others began when he and a “couple of buddies” took a 12-week scuba class in the mid 50’s. He was immediately “hooked” and he and his wife Violet opened A-1 a few years later. They never imagined their basement “dive shop” would become the largest and longest established dive store in Colorado and one of the most respected dive centers in the country.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
