    Hi Jeff and Class-
This is Bob Speik in Bend OR and yes, a Member of Colorado Springs Adventures. Jeff, thanks for posting a link to my "basic to advanced" "instructional" free, non profit web: www.TraditionalMountaineering.org. You have a great group of folks here. They can get a quick start on your class. Basic Folks who do not sign up fall into this group: "He who knows naught, knows not that he knows naught." Folks, note that "Mountaineering" and peak bagging are 90% hiking and backpacking. Jeff is giving you Folks priceless information and guidance!

Hi, I just joined your group, my name is Melissa. I was curious if I need to bring anything with me? Is it just a class or is it a class then we eventually go backpacking? I do not know how to email you on this. Thanks for you help.

I still could really use an overhead projector.. it will make all the difference in your class if you have one I will bring my cords and gear to connect to the computer. – please email me directly.

I went ahead and made the investment in a projector!!!

The class room space is free – it means places were kind enough o us to hold the meetings in without charging me. Please if you bring light snacks, coffee, or drinks – be careful and clean up after yourself..
After class if you can stay a few minutes to help clean the rooms – vacuum, wipe down stuff…etc. let’s leave the space better than we found it (just like a camp site!!) that way we are invited back and our group retains it’s good name!

Items to cover – I will be talking a lot about gear but also hints on gear, hiking, from the color of cooking pots to how to tie a boot. – there are many things I wish I could cover but time will forbid this.- so send (email) me items specifically you would like to hear about… I may not get all of them in the class but I will try and if not I will provide information later to you or we can talk on the phone about it!
Recommended items to bring… sack lunch or snacks, water bottle, paper and pen or something to take notes on (I hate you to forget a question so write it down and ask me when you get a chance)
These classes are big. So If you are not going to make it… Please change your RSVP to NO.. (allowing others to go)

BE ON TIME… showing up late will mean you miss the start of the meeting where I hand out envelopes full of cash – just kidding but you will miss something. Not sure of the weather or traffic or how to get there leave early – remember I have to set up hours before hand and drive myself to teach the class GIVE yourself enough time to get lost once, get a coffee, and stop to pee on the way and Still make it on time.

LEAVING the class – hey if you are not getting anything out of the class.. It is ok to leave. I know some people do get bored and you will not offend me by taking off.. I have had experience backpacker but that are inexperienced readers get to the class and not know it was BEGINNERS BACKPACKING – lol (you will be ok if you leave )

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
