Lunch at Curbside Cuisine

Did you read about Curbside Cuisine in the Gazette? How about on my blog? More importantly, would you like to try it?

Curbside Cuisine hosts several food trucks on the corner of Platte & Nevada, downtown. Each truck offers something unique, from chickpea fritters to bbq to dessert.

Join us for lunch on an otherwise ordinary Wednesday. We'll get lunch, sit in the park and enjoy the day!

My first time there. I was surprised at the number of trucks on site. I think I counted 9 different vendors, which made it difficult to decide what to have for lunch. It was a toss-up between the barbecue and the gumbo. The gumbo had been recommended to me so I went with it. It was rich and spicy, full of celery, okra and Andouille. I'll try a shrimp po'boy next time. Or maybe the fried gator! Dessert was Heavenly, really, from Heavenly Desserts. I tasted the chocolate mint brownie, not too minty, but couldn't pass up the vanilla crème brulee with fresh berries. Creamy, with a perfectly crisp bruleed top and a burst of berry flavor in each bite. Can't wait to go back.
