Come to the next Winter Market at Ivywild School on Saturday, March 29! Just come on your own between 10am and 2pm or meet me at 9:30 for coffee at the Principal's Office.
The Colorado Farm and Art Market is the only farmers market in town that guarantees everything sold is grown or made in Colorado. It's a great place to pick up some meat, jam, vegetables, etc.
I happen to know the Arkansas Valley Organic Growers (AVOG) will be there this month with produce from farms around Pueblo. At this time of year you can get potatoes, onions and other storage crops, as well as frozen roasted peppers.
We will also have the opportunity to order in advance from AVOG's full product list and pick up at the Market. Contact me if you're interested in placing an order.
If you come around lunchtime, get a sandwich at the Meat Locker or pastry from the Old School Bakery before visiting the market in the gymnasium. Or have lunch at Bristol Brewery after browsing.
Click to read my Hungry Chicken Homestead story about the January Market. It's a fun way to spend a Saturday and supports several of your local businesses all at once!
