Announcing a new Meetup for Reclaiming Colorado Springs Witches Meetup!

What: Cleansing ritual for Blodgett Peak Circle area

When: May 17,[masked]:00 PM

Where: Click the link below to find out!

Meetup Description: There's a beautiful Circle area off the beaten track at Blodgett Open Space. It's in a natural clearing in the forest and in the shadow of the Goddess rock formation on Blodgett Peak. There are signs of people having had fires there in the past (though of course we won't build a fire unless the weather changes dramatically!).

A beautiful spot, but the energy is FUNKY -- like something scary happened there, or maybe someone has warded it in the past. In any event, we're going to cleanse it and reclaim it and have a ritual there!

This will be INSTEAD of the Full Moon ritual we would normally do in May. The Beltania camping trip is the weekend of the actual Full Moon, and a LOT of people from our community are planning to go to Beltania.

So, we're doing this ritual cleansing on Sunday, May 17 instead.

We'll meet in the parking lot at 5 p.m. and plan to depart the lot promptly at 5:15 p.m. The circle space is an easy walk up a gravel road and on a well-maintained trail. So it's easy to get to. And we can take little rest breaks along the way.

Please bring drinking water for yourself and a sage smudge stick. You should also plan to bring a flashlight -- the sun sets that day at 8:07 p.m., and civil twilight ends at 8:37 p.m. We should be back to our cars by then, but you never know.

And, speaking of being back to our cars, you'll want to plan to park on Woodmen instead of in the Blodgett Open Space parking lot -- the sign says "No parking after dusk."

And, finally, here are the directions to the entrance to Blodgett Open Space, where we'll meet:
Take I-25 to the Garden of the Gods Exit. Exit west. Heading west, turn right at Centennial Boulevard. Head north on Centennial. After passing Vindicator Road, Centennial Boulevard will turn into Woodmen Road. Continue on Woodmen Road for 2.1 miles; Blodgett Peak Open Space will be on the left-hand side of the road.

Hope to see you there!
