Transmuting Fear into Fuel for Living

Hi, all. The facilitated gatherings described below are not Reclaiming Colorado Springs events, but the facilitators are well-known to our community and much loved and respected...

Here's the information about a series of workshops they're offering:

Fear. It comes with living. It is rooted in the most basic attraction/avoidance responses in creatures from paramecia to primates. As humans, we have the option of working with our emotional states, coming to an understanding of them and responding with heads, hearts and bodies. We can grow through our life experiences to intentionally shape our journey.

We all have experienced fear in our lives. We fear what we do not understand. In this work/playshop, we will create space where we can look at those places in our lives that we do not understand, befriend them and redirect the energy spent in fear to creating richer lives.

Restoring our faces,

designing new spaces . . .

Our time together is designed to help us open to the places where fear is shaping our responses to life, to take that fear dancing, see its face and to help it find its right place in our individual make-up. At these gatherings we will seek the places within where our fears dwell, take them out and see them for what they are. By means of storytelling, dance, and other creative processes we will choose courses of action to illuminate them. We will discover ways to safely face them in order to transmute the energy that they sap into energy for fuller expression of our selves.

Transmuting our deep fears

delighting in joy?s tears . . .
