Great reports of food and support from the crew of aid station 2. thanx guys for your effort and success at hosting a superb support stop for the Ring the Peak endurance ride! A special thanx to Mike Dale for heading up a successful event!

Good times! Like you said, thanks to Mike D. for leading the effort and bringing tables, chairs, and a tarp for shade!

I was considering dropping off chairs at your place, Mike, before Saturday. Wasn't sure if you needed extra. I also have water jugs if you need those (6 gallons each and I have two). Just let me know if you need them. Otherwise, I think I'll be ok for the ride up! I plan to get us there by 10am, barring any mechanicals or similar things!

Here's a copy of my last conversation with Ryan (race organizer). I'll plan to be there at 11AM instead of 10AM

    Hi Mike,
I would expect about 50. Whether or not they all show up on race day is TBD, but that's how many are signed up now, so hopefully they show (fingers crossed). Aid 2 can be anywhere from a little before noon to probably 5-6pm. Just guessing based on previous times, but they can vary widely. I would be ready for the haul out, but I doubt many will take it at that point. By the time they get to that turn off it's just about as fast to finish up the course vs. riding Gold Camp back and possibly even making the drive. Unless something is shot on the bike, I wouldn't expect many that would need to bail at that point. Although it is the hardest part of the course...it's just so close to the end that it's worth pushing through. Thanks,
    Ryan

Sounds good. I'll plan to also get there by 11 AM. I'll have my 4Runner with bike rack, in case anyone needs a lift out. Talk to you later this week, Bret

    Chris, Jessica,

9 days away now. I drove up Gold Camp and back on 62 2 wks ago. Its got a good place to setup right next to a forest service sign. Gold Camp Road is rough up to the Aid Station location and then not bad for the 6 miles to the highway.

Chris, I'm hauling 2 passengers to Cripple Creek (and picking up). I should have room to a 3rd passenger if you want a ride. Planning on leaving about 8AM and being there until late afternoon.

Mike I'm trying to find you some company for Saturday! Thought we'd have more interest in doing this!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
