Deb. I would love to practice with yours. I would bring extra so u can have product too. The pressure scares me some.

I made a great stew tonight for my "army". Wish I trusted the gauge on my 30 year old canner. I would have put up almost a gallon tonight in extra. Ugh.

Next time I'll demonstrate something that doesn't take 75 minutes to process.

Meat balls were yummy! Yes, I already ate them.... never did have much self control.

Wow! I feel that I can release my pressure canner from the box in the basement. Thank you, Deb, for your reassuring manner and expertise.

This was great. I don't feel so intimidated by the pressure canner anymore--Thanks for the class!

Being able to cold pack is what I meant by simplified. I've really struggled to maneuver hot food into jars in the past.

Thank you for all your comments. If you are still not comfortable with the pressure canner and would like hands on practice, you can come to the kitchen and use mine.

I have used my pressure canner already, but was hoping to learn some skills to simplify the routine. I was very pleased with the class and I learned alot.

Diana, this is one area that really can't be simplified. Using a pressure canner is a routine that needs to be followed for successful results and no accidents. It was good to see you last night.

My son has a fever and is sick with the flu. Hubby's out of town. I HATE to miss this class, but I need to pass. You will be offering again I hope. May is tricky for me, I'm hoping you'll offer yet another one, in case that one is on a date where I'll be out of town. Thanks so much!!

I am stuck in the middle of a project and will miss this. Makes me sad - I want to learn canning so much! Hope that there are other opportunities to take this and the previous canning class.

I have been afraid to use the pressure canner that I bought several years ago. I'm just like my grandpa who didn't like new-fangled inventions. He just didn't know that Grandma and the girls were in the kitchen using a pressure canner for the beans!!

It was good to meet you Elaine...
