Lovely day. Interesting coops. The best info was to do a chicken coop co-op that way there are several people involved in running the coop and its not all on one person.

The best thing I learned was that you don't need a big backyard to have chickens. Thank you to all the ppl who opened up their backyards and gave lots of good advice!

Awesome day looking at coops. It was fun to meet coop owners across the city and to see how different owners construct and keep their coops. We also saw bee hives, rabbits, aquaponics, greenhouses, fruit trees, a solar oven, wood sheds, fire pits, a cob rustic stove and much more! People in Colorado Springs are doing amazing things to be self-sufficient, right in their own urban backyards! Fun day! Thanks everyone for opening your backyards!

The Tour starts at my house - 712 N Cedar (1 blk from Monument and Hancock, near Memorial Hospital). We will have printed Guides with maps available. The maps and guides will also be available at http://takeapeakcooptour.com on Friday May 17.
We've added a second starting point The printed Guides will be available at Buckleys Homestead Supply, 1501 W Colorado Ave. during business hours on Saturday and Sunday. This addition probably won't make it to flyers unless we need to print more. It will be on the web site.
