Interested in food systems, global to local.
I've studied food systems for over ten years, from traveling to Nicaragua to study fair trade coffee, to living in Ecuador to studying quinoa production, to gardening in my own backyard. I teach, develop recipes, cook, sprout, and dehydrate food. I'm particularly interested in heirloom crop varieties and genetic biodiversity of food plants. I hope to learn more about wild edible plants through this group, improve my gardening skills, and meet new food lovers.

Hi Christie, Thank you for joining Amma's Meetup page. She's happy to see so many new & old friends coming together in community. The Open Houses on April 5th & 6th will be a time to discuss summer programs. If you're able to come to the hermitage, this would be the perfect time. Amma also sends her encouragement to stay motivated & joyful with your daily meditation. If you'd like other ways to stay connected you can visit www.awakeningtruth.org or follow her on Facebook. With metta.
One of the favorite things I do here is the full moon vigils- it is glorious being in the Garden of the Gods under the full moon and walking in silence. If you can come on the 5 or 6 of April we will be figuring out our summer program and your input would be welcome.
