Hello Colorado Springs Walking Club!
This walk will provide a good mix of variety as it is about 50% flat terrain and 50% minimal to moderate incline levels--giving you the opportunity to also enjoy some hiking, burn extra calories and increase your step rate if using a pedometer. There is a nice view of the city of Colorado Springs in one part of the hike as well as some nice trails. I hope to see those that are able to come. I believe many of you will enjoy this event and the variety of terrain that it offers.
DURATION: approximately 80 minutes
ADDRESS: Ute Valley Park
1705 Vindicator Drive Colorado Springs, Colorado 80919
TIME: Meet between 2:20 PM and 2:29 PM walk starts at 2:30 PM
PARKING & Meeting Location: there is a small parking lot associated with this park, so if you know someone who is attending this event you may want to car pool. If you can't find a space then I suggest parking in the Eagleview Middle School's parking lot which is either before or after Ute Valley Park depending on which direction you are coming from on Vindicator Drive. From the school it is about a five minute walk to the Ute Valley Park parking lot. We will meet in the parking area next to the trail head.
