There are 229 folks on our list. Some are probably dead. Some moved away. Some have given up on the web and become real estate salesmen. But there are still probably a couple dozen folks interested in getting together. We did a few meetups last year and drew some good folks. My crazy holiday schedule is over and I am ready to schedule a few events..
By the way, anyone in the group can schedule a meetup, and I encourage everyone to do so. Pick a date, write a blurb and see who shows up.
My daughter wants help with her homework fairly often, so evenings aren't my fav. I lean toward Sunday afternoons meetings. We had one good meeting during the lunch hour at a office building last fall. That was good. And lots of folks like weekday evenings. If that is the desire of most people, I can schedule events then.

During our last round of meetings, we had a couple of dynamic fellows who are deeply into low level programming stuff. Very neat. Personally, I am mostly interested in day to day management. Trying to figure out the latest twists in Facebook and Google Adwords are a bigger part of my week that figuring the syntax of Ruby command.

I expect the beginning will be slow. But once we start meeting more people will show up. More folks will start organizing things, and we'll get back into a pattern.
