Make Pysanky - Ukrainian Easter Eggs

All supplies will be provided to use. If you have your own Kistky feel free to bring them. There will also be supplies available to purchase if you wish to continue the tradition in your own homes. Children 10 and up are welcome but will require constant parental supervision as we use lit candles and hot wax for this craft. I hope to see many of you at lunch before the event!

It was so nice to meet that family of 4 that aren't even group members and Sunny as well! And, great little Pysanka children's story and coloring book! Please post your parakeet and other amazing pysanky on Discussion page or herewith.

It was a wonderful experience for me! It was my first time ever making a real pysanka, and I think I did quite well for the first attempt. Tom ( my husband) liked it. I haven't shown it yet to my family on Skype, will do it tomorrow and post some pictures here from the meetup.
Lisa, thank you so much! You are a pro and a great teacher!

Lisa, you are an amazing teacher! You were so prepared with everything in place...I'm in awe! I'm sorry I couldn't stay for entire session and I hope to see some pictures of the amazing pysanky!
Everybody was having such a great time and it was really great of Tony's Bistro Manager, Scotty, to be so accommodating!
Thank you so very much and maybe you can do a "KOROVAI" (Ukrainian Wedding Cake) class sometime!

Did your family have fun at the Hockey game downtown? Who won?

I'm very excited to meet some of you finally! Thanks Nadja for getting a space finalized for us and to Mariya and Andrij for all the help and suggestions. You don't need to bring anything, I have all the supplies needed in my class set I will have available supplies for purchase if you would like your own Kistka(stylus) and dyes for future use.

I know Koebel library in Littleton offers rooms free of charge or for a small fee. If library would work I could call and ask about the details. Let me know ;)

Hi girls, sorry! I was out of town and did not have a chance to post. I did call the library and they said that we can't have any candles :( Thank you for finding a place @ Tony's.

The Church Hall is, unfortunately, NOT available on Mar 29 & 30Th.
We need the help of all our members to find a clubhouse, or even a basement large enough for 20-30 people. Another Church perhaps? Lisa is coming from Wyoming so she can only stay here max 2 nights!

    Looking forward to it!

I have found many places are not too keen on lit candles and dye on their carpet. So floor is better! I have held the class in home ec rooms, cafeterias and boardrooms for some other ideas.
