We will hike on the Ute Creek TH and then end up at Twin Eagle Lake

This means we will need to shuttle a few cars to Twin Eagle Lake

We will then hike about 6 miles just below Bison Pass

Day 2 Night 2 May 25th

Bison Peak

We will pack up camp hike up Bison Peak (Leaving Packs behind)

I would like to point out that no one is obligated to hike these peaks)

We will then pick up our packs and hike to bass of McCurdy Pass and set up camp

Day 3 Night 3: May 26th

Pick up packs and hike to Twin Lakes Trail head

Get into cars and shuttle back to Ute Creek TH

Thank you for your reply, Dale. I will have a dog with me who gets pretty thirsty, too.

Lisa. There is water at a few points, but not super plentiful. No big stream crossings. I believe quite a bit of what we were using was from snow melt. Once we hit the crown of our loop and headed back down it was pretty dry the majority of the way back. We stopped about 1-2 hours from the cars and made the last nights camp where there was a stream. I would not advise caring tons of extra water, but some is definitely a good idea.

Planning to do this trip 6/11-6/13 with my son and his girlfriend. Love those young strong backs! Any tips or advice from those of you who just did it? Was there plenty of water? Any large stream crossings? Thanks!

Hey Happy Campers, Just an FYI, I went up to Bison Pk yesterday and there's still lots of snow at the higher elevation. Spikes were helpful. Check out Trails and Ales MU for pictures.

Was the main part of the trail snow free? About how deep was the snow on the peak? Super cool of you to post on here, thank you!

This seems like high elevation for this time of year. Does anyone know if there is snow & what the conditions in this location could be like?

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
