Walking the Camino de Santiago / 500 miles across medieval Spain

Greetings Meetup Community,

I'm creating a unique Meetup inviting you to learn more about my 6 week journey walking the Camino de Santiago.  For those of you that don't know, it's a 500 mile on-foot journey across Northern Spain that carries 1,200 of cultural, spiritual and religious tradition.  Pilgrims from all over the world converge day by day to walk West to a final destination of Santiago, Finisterre or somewhere along the way.  They say that everyone falls in love on the Camino - with someone else or with themselves.  This is very true.  I returned on October 8, 2012 from walking the entirety of the main Camino Frances route with my father.  This is such a unique opportunity to truly 'connect' while walking and you will be surprised at how (aside from the plane ticket) inexpensive it really is.

I'm eager to share photos, stories, best practices and answer questions.  I will also be laying out some training opportunities for those who are ready to put on their planning hats and pencil this journey into their calendar.

Please consider joining us for this free event and please consider sharing if you know anyone that would be interested!

PARKING / ROOM FINDING: Park in the front and walk in the main entrance to the Key Bank building. Take the elevator to the 2nd floor, take a right, and follow the hallway down to the end.  Look for signs!

Please don't hesitate to email me at [masked] for any questions.

I loved Jonathon's comfortable style of presentation, and especially enjoyed hearing the experience of the camino from both himself and his father Dave. The pictures and the stories made the experience come alive in my imagination. Thank you.

Hi all, wanted to make sure you had updated parking / room finding instructions: Park in the front and walk in the main entrance to the Key Bank building. Take the elevator to the 2nd floor, take a right, and follow the hallway down to the end. Look for signs!
