I like the idea of getting healthy through walking. I want to be more active and have motivation problems. I'm a social creature and enjoy having people to around me to share activities. I also like that this group does volunteer work. It's great to see a group that gives back to the community.
I've never done either of these, but I would like to do so. My goal is to some day hike in Scotland.
I spend a lot of time worrying about things and stressing. I tend to lose myself in the stress. On a full/multi-day walk I would like to reconnect with myself. I would like to let the stress go and just think about the things that make me happy. I also enjoy nature and all it has to offer. My job keeps me chained to a desk for 12 hours, and the opportunity to get outdoors and enjoy this beautiful state is always welcome. Finally, I like the idea of walking with others and getting to know them. I am a person who loves to hear other people's stories and to know where they come from or what their opinions are. I must add that as much as I am a social person I can be a person of solitude also. I sometimes like to walk and lose myself in my own mind and surroundings.
