Business is changing, every day. Only constant is change! If we are to meet the demands of competing in this world, not to stay afloat but to thrive we are to keep ourselves at the cutting…even the bleeding edge of what business has to offer. This group will foster professional growth that is common to all businesses at the same time, compete and learn skills related other industries and professions. While it to be hard to be a master of all trades, we can strive to be good at some and knowledgeable enough to have a simple conversation on others. This group will be a hotbed of local professional and business growth for the years to come. It will have the following two principal purposes.
Learn – We learn from each other. Getting and keeping company of like-minded people, preferably with better or greater skills improves our own. Research reveals that a typical business in a small town lags behind cutting edge knowledge and skills by about two years ...the need is just not there! Everyone typically works within their comfort zones with people that everyone is familiar with. This is a great opportunity to learn and to grow, in skills and in knowledge to be a key player, not only the one’s domain of expertise but also be able to compete with professionals in other metropolitan areas around.
Engage – While networking is one important dimension of growing one’s business, it is not the only one. If done properly, networking can be a premier tool in the growth of one’s business. This group will have a smaller splinter group, that meets on a regular basis to network intimately, and exchange referrals.
