We're near Denver, but we LOVE Lisa, we don't mind driving, and we love to meet new people, so we'll help out and attend when we can. We came to veganism for health, but stayed for the animal!
We always feel welcome when we make the trip down from Denver to Colorado Springs to hang out with this friendly group of folks. We love our expanding community. Thank you all!! Looking forward to the next time!
Thank you Ann! Maybe I can meet up with folks in Colorado Springs on Dec. 9 or 10 when I am down there. Or we can find another time to carpool down :)
Thank you so much for the welcome, Ann! It's incredible how deeply people are 'brainwashed,' in denial, or are slaves to there taste buds. Also, I feel like the issue of veganism is a modern day Milgram experiment: anyone who continues to eat animals after finding out about all of the moral issues would have kept administering the shocks. I completely agree about living by example though. Our continued health, happiness, and clear conscience is the best motivator and inspiration to others.
Hi Ann. It was so nice to see you the other night as well! Hope to see you soon.
Thanks, Ann. It was great meeting you too! I look forward to seeing you again at more meetups. I know this group does a lot of downtown meetups and I will check some out.
Thanks Ann! Look forward to meeting new people in Denver!
Thanks, Ann! I'll miss you and your wondrous food at this potluck, but I'm sure we'll catch up next time!
Thank you for adding me as an event coordinator to AVL, Ann. I look forward to meeting Beth Ann at our Meet & Greet in Castle Rock today.
Thanks Ann. Through our research to improve our health we also learned the destruction that the raising of livestock does to the planet as well as the cruelty inflicted on the animals themselves. Even bees are factory farmed. These are very serious issues to us as well.
We hope to be able to join the group. We do live in the mountains and my husband works 12 hour rotating shifts. Hopefully some dates and times will fall on his days off.
Thank you, Ann. I would love to post events on A Vegan Life. I've got a co-sponsor who will be helping me, Darlene Allen. I'll ask her to join A Vegan Life as well. Do we need to be coordinators to post something? We're having our first Meetup Tuesday :-)
I apologize for my late welcome, but I have been quite busy organizing for and promoting the upcoming screening of Dr. Jennifer Conrad's powerful documentary, The Paw Project, which I hope you will be able to attend. The Denver Film Society has extended us a group discount, so if you belong to a club or organization whose members would like to attend, please let me know the group name and number of tickets needed, and I will arrange with the ticket office. Thanks your help, Ann!
