The Health Benefits of a Plant-Based Diet
Learn how you can benefit from a plant-based diet with Martha Rosenau, RD. Current research points to the many benefits found in a primarily vegetarian diet. A plant-based diet includes grains, legumes, nuts and seeds, fruit and vegetables. Some of the many benefits of this style of eating are reduced risk factors for diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, stroke, birth defects and certain cancers. Additionally, those who eat mostly plants save money on their food budget, eat fewer calories, and oftentimes, weigh less. Join us for a lively discussion of the plant based diet and come see why many are choosing to eat less meat.
