Recipe Websites and more....

In my search for a flourless, vegan cake I found a neat website called "have cake, will travel" so I thought I would post it here (yummy looking recipes plus on the right she's listed a ton of great blog websites)

I did find a cake that I tried out:

NOTE: We substituted black beans for the black eyed peas. It was great! We topped it with some fresh strawberries. Also, we used firm tofu since it's the only one I had on hand. Next time we make it, we might try a white bean and use extra firm tofu. Along with changing up the beans, it might be fun to add some extracts (vanilla or raspberry). This recipe is a "keeper"!

In my search for a vegan cheesecake, I found this incredibly easy and delicious recipe (another keeper). Again, yummy topped with fresh strawberries. I added a tsp. of vanilla extract, used fresh lemon, and used 8 graham crackers instead of 6.

If you all know of any other great recipe websites catering to the vegetarian/vegan lifestyle or blogs please post. The other one I've used often is "post punk kitchen" (which I know a lot of you are already familiar with)

Also, here is the website to The Grit (a vegetarian restaurant in Athens Georgia). I use their cookbook a ton and have posted several of their recipes. Well worth the money in my opinion. Looking through their current menu makes me

This is a little off the subject but I thought I would also share the Mrs. Meyer's clean day link:
Geranium and Lavender are GREAT. I want to try Snap Pea next. The countertop spray really works as an all purpose spray as well. Once you get the spray bottle you can refill it with water and a little all purpose cleaner (which will last you a long time). The air freshner, toilet bowl cleaner, hand soap/lotion, and dish soap are also all great! The fragrance lingers and makes your house smell so fresh! I know Whole Foods carries a few of their items. I'm guessing others in town carry them as well. If you sign up to receive their E-mails, they'll send you great monthly deals if you order online. Their product is fun to give as gifts too.
