New American Vegan Website

Kaiserslautern, DE
Post #: 93

This is a pretty decent website. Good information for current vegans and those interested in going vegan. They provide a couple links where you can easily plug in your info and specify the areas you want calculated (recommended water intake, b12, fiber, calcium, calories, fat, and so on). This is provided by the USDA so I don't know how much is skewed one way or the other. It's a quick, easy calculator though. Just remember eating LOTS of RAW dark leafy greens, fruits, and variety of veggies will be your best source of vitamins, minerals, protein, and fiber (easy for your body to absorb and digest)! The only supplement I take currently is a sublingual B12.

The other website they direct you to will break down nutritional value of almost any food. For instance, I searched for kale and then narrowed down to raw kale and then specified 1 cup and it told me all the nutrient facts in 1 cup of kale. Nice to know.

Also included are recommended drinks and a variety of recipes.

Overall, it's a good resource!
