Meetup Description: If you need to get your Motorcycle License Endorsement this is the class for you. Successful completion of the class will give you your motorcycle license. this is a two (2) day class. Saturday May 16th and Sunday May 17th.
This is a two day, all day class. You will get a lunch break of 1 hour to go out and eat lunch together as a group. AT THE COMPLETION OF THIS COURSE, The course instructor gives you a piece of paper and all you have to do is go down to the DMV pay a $2.00 (two dollar) processing fee and you get your motorcycle endorsement.
You will ride with up to 8 other people of similar experience level on motorcycles or scooters of 250cc displacement or less in a controlled, safe, and relaxed closed range environment.
Normal class cost is $225 but we are getting it for $200.00 because of group rates. AT THE TIME OF RSVP "YES" PAY THROUGH PAYPAL.
The Basic RiderCourse is a 16 to 19 hour two day program, which provides classroom and actual motorcycle operator training (20 - 25 miles on on bike riding) in a controlled, off-street environment. No experience is necessary; a good sense of balance is required (you must be able to ride a bicycle).
You must complete the MSF BRC workbook prior to class (a 2-3 hour task), and bring the following gear with you:
YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
Helmet, must be DOT approved 3/4 or full faced. If you don't have one we provide helmets.
Eye protection, regular eyeglasses or sunglasses.
Sturdy (leather) full fingered gloves.
Long sleeved shirt or jacket.
sturdy full length, non flared, pants (Levis).
Sturdy (rubber soled) boots or shoes that cover the ankle
In the Basic RiderCourse , you will cover and learn:
Introduction to motorcycling
Protective gear / What to wear
Controls such as the clutch and brakes
Pre-ride inspection of your motorcycle
Preparing to ride your motorcycle on the class range
Street strategies to avoid trouble and stay safe
Driving and riding impairments such as use of alcohol and drugs
How to maneuver your motorcycle
Riding at night
Collision avoidance skills
Carrying a passenger or cargo
Dealing with tire failure
Dealing with animals
And other topics, all included to increase your motorcycle riding enjoyment and safety.
The school is owned and operated by Bob Frank, MSF's "RiderCoach Trainer of the Year" for 2006. He was individually selected from a national field of 280 RiderCoach Trainers
