BAM! POW! CRASH! The Comic Con phenomenon meets orchestra in this symphonic tribute to Comic Con.
This concert features over twenty of your favorite scores from movies, television, and video games. Jump in the T.A.R.D.I.S. or U.S.S. Enterprise, and journey with our heroes through Gotham City, Middle Earth, Azeroth, Westeros, and even to a galaxy far, far away. We’ve even added a Theremin player, DeVotchKa frontman Nick Urata, to help us boldly go where our sound has never gone before.
Hometown hero, Austin Wintory, will be on the bridge to present excerpts from his score for Journey: the first video game score to receive a Grammy® nomination. Plus, arrive early for some extra fun with our friends from Denver Comic Con, Girls of Geek 12, Umbrella Corp. Denver, and the Dark Side's finest from 501st Legion Mountain Garrison!

The Colorado Symphony Ball 2014 promises to be bigger and better than the sold-out 2013 event. “From Bach... to Rock! THE BATTLE OF THE BANDS” will return to Denver’s rock palace, The Fillmore Auditorium, on Saturday, April 5 at 6:00pm for an unforgettable evening featuring the Colorado Symphony in an encore performance with the The Moderators, as well as new musical guests the DaVita Blues All-Stars. The Colorado Symphony Ball 2014 is chaired by Kent Thiry and Denise O’Leary.
